

Sandra Taylor Baumann passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 3rd, 2025 at the age of 88. She was born in Fairbault, MN to her loving parents, Jess and Alice Taylor and grew up in Sioux Falls, SD with four siblings, Mary, Thomas, Barbara, and Kathleen. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 24 years, Henry J. Baumann, Jr., her first husband, Theodore V. Fish, Sr., as well as her brother, Tom, and sister, Kathy. She was a loving Mom to four boys, Theodore V. Fish, Jr. (Karen), Thomas T. Fish (Emma), Randall G. Fish, and Brian J. Fish (Helen). She was also a caring Grandma to nine grandchildren, Kaitlynn West (William), Madelynn Varnado (Dylan), Carolyn Hemry (Charles), Brandon, Brandy, Haley, Brian Jr., Travis, and Lauren, and two great-grandchildren, Grace and Montana.
She earned a B.A. degree in Sociology from Lindenwood College in St. Charles, MO, afterwards working as a teacher and social worker in St. Louis. She moved to Metairie, LA in 1971 and began a successful decades long career as a realtor, serving on the ethics board and cherishing the friendships with her realtor colleagues. She married her second husband, Henry, in 1982, and they enjoyed a wonderful life filled with family, friends, and travel. She volunteered for many years delivering Meals On Wheels to the elderly and was an active member at Atonement Lutheran Church. She enjoyed a variety of social clubs including Spring Fiesta, Les Amies, Garden Club, Bridge Club, and the Krewe of Rhea, serving as Maid in 2007. Her family would like to thank the caregivers at Inspired Living Kenner for the wonderful care she has received over the last few years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in Metairie, LA on August 15th, 2025 at 1:00pm with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Private burial will follow.
