Stephen Lee Pugh was born July 30, 1969 to loving parents, Odille and Robert. He grew up with his two sisters, Trisha and Jennifer, in Marrero, Louisiana. He was a spirited and exuberant child. In his early adult life, Stephen joined the Army. As a young soldier, Stephen honorably served his country in Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Following his military service, Stephen began his career in the oil and gas industry. Stephen humbly started work in the field, subject to the elements, and most often reporting to work before dawn and working long days. Stephen was meticulous in his work product and soon found himself rising within his profession, including the renewable energy industry. Stephen was smart and took great pride in his work, eventually reaching the levels of large-scale project manager, general manager/vice president, and consultant. In 1996, Stephen was blessed with his only child, a little girl, Stevie, and was very proud of her current enrollment in the University of North Carolina at Charlotte seeking a degree in Architecture. On March 5, 2022, Stephen departed this life too early at the age of 52. Stephen is survived by his dedicated father, Robert Lee Pugh. We pray that he is reunited with his devoted mother, Odille Pugh. He is also survived by his daughter, Stevie Lee Alexis; his older sister, Patricia Hebert, his brother-in-law, Brad Hebert, and his only nephew, Brett Hebert; his little sister, Jennifer Pugh; his aunts, Margaret Folse and Elonie Smith, and many caring family members.
Stephen will be honored at a small private service consisting of immediate family. Family and friends are encouraged to honor and remember Stephen by making a contribution to Wounded Warrior Project at https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate.
