Teresa Lucy Martin

Teresa Lucy Martin went to her heavenly home on November 17, 2021. She is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa and preceded in death by her husband, Harold. She was 85 years old and born in 1936 in Los Angeles, CA to Theodore and Ann Peron. She was raised in New Orleans, LA. Teresa was a devoted mother and wife. She was a resident of Metairie, LA for 45 years. Teresa, a former beautician in her earlier years, was very extroverted. She and her husband hosted many parties and events at their home for family and friends. She loved to dance and her home was always filled with people. She was a woman of great faith and devotion to our Lord. She was a volunteer secretary for Msgr. Robert Guste of New Orleans, LA for over 20 years. She was always ready to listen, help, give advice, and pray with people. She held many prayer meetings at her home; she was a member to Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Kenner, LA for many years.

Many thanks to her caretaker, Iris Duplessis, who took care of her for four years. Her devotion and care is surely appreciated. Many thanks to the Notre Dame Hospice team of New Orleans, LA, who provided great care and loving support to her at home, including nurses, aides, the chaplain, and social worker.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Kenner, LA on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 11AM. Visitation will begin at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help and the Alzheimer’s Association.
