Terry William Timberman, 80, a 40-year resident of Bedico, Louisiana, passed away September 2, 2022. After a long term battle with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's he was able to pass peacefully in his own home surrounded by those he loved.
Having being born in Indianapolis, IN, Terry enjoyed a life of making things go vroom-vroom, from racing cars, engine rebuilding, motocycle racing, to Street Rods that preserve the past with a flair. Known by many as expert in his field, he never knew a stranger and was happy to offer his knowledge. He was known for his smile and good-natured spirit, never letting onto the thorn that tormented him. He shared good conversation, crawfish and Jack Daniels among Friends, and he always enjoyed a good, warm fire. He was a strong man with honest values always trying to do good to those he crossed paths with.
In his later years he was joined by his love and devoted companion, Vicky Fannaly, for 6 short years. She was his favorite pastime, next to watching Nascar Racing or watching the resident raccoon family that visited nightly for many years. They were frequently spotted in town at Car Club events or dining with Friends for lunch. They were the envy of many with their innocent love, hard to hide.
He will be missed by those from Harahan, Ponchatoula, and Bedico.
Preceded in death by parents, Veda A Pendley and Carl W. Timberman, and sister, Eva Kay Logston Gambrel. He is survived by sister, Libby Easley, and brother, Jerry Forbes, only daughter, Terri L Castjohn, grandchildren, Jacob Castjohn and Julia Castjohn, great grandchild, Bodhi William Castjohn, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private with Friends encouraged to reach out for details.
