Vernon J. Moran Jr.

Vernon J. Moran, Jr., age 75, peacefully entered his heavenly home surrounded by his loving family on May 6, 2025 at his home in Kenner, La. He was preceded in death by his mother Bobbie K. Brown and his son Brian Edward Moran. He’s survived by his beloved wife of over 53 years Laura Colley Moran & his loving children Holly Moran Coon, Kelly Moran Melancon and son-in-law Salvador Melancon. Proud grandfather of Trent Coon, Tristan Moran, Tanner Coon. Great grandfather of Nellie Coon, Dawson Coon and soon to arrive Haisley Coon.

Vernon proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a very funny guy and loved spending time with his family and was an avid LSU & Saints fan. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, camping and riding his motorcycle. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, but especially his best friends Yeffet Saidi, Vic Panno & Vellis Tillmon.

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Monday, May 12, 2025 with visitation starting at 11 am followed by a funeral service at 1 pm.
