Winifred Hollyfield

Winifred Brupbacher Hollyfield went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Ira Lee Hollyfield and mother of Roy Hollyfield (Colleen), Diane Hollyfield, the late Linda Schexnaildre (Kristin), Barbara Bansen (Mark) and Winnie Hollyfield. Grandmother to John Kissee IV (Tricia Roup), Scott Siebert (Michelle), Jeremy Schexnaildre, Brooks Helmers (Scott), and Blair Jemison (Jared). Great Grandmother to Summer Kissee, Scottie and Nathan Siebert, Beau, Cameron, John and Owen Helmers, Cannon, Reese and Gigi Jemison. Daughter of the late Roy John Brupbacher and Gertrude Rowan Reese and she was the last of seven sisters. She also loved her grand kitties and grand doggies. Winifred lived both in Metairie and the Great Smoky Mountains and has been in Metairie for the last 25 years. Blessed with a beautiful singing voice, she used her voice to glorify God singing in churches and at weddings. She loved children and loved helping out at vacation bible school. She was a wonderful mother and will be greatly missed by her children. A celebration of Winifred's life will be held Saturday, Feb 18, 2017 at Metairie Ridge Presbyterian Church located at 215 Phosphor Avenue (corner of Phosphor Ave and Codifer. Parking is available on Codifer and adjacent streets; parking in shopping center may result in towing. Visitation will be 10:00am-11:00am with a service following at 11:00am-Noon.
