Un velorio para Ada se realizará el 14 de noviembre de 2022 desde las 9:30 a.m. hasta las 2:30 p.m. en la Caballero Rivero Westchester, 8200 BIRD RD, MIAMI, FL 33155.

Luego del velorio, se llevara a cabo su sepelio a las 2:30 p.m. en Miami Memorial Park, 6200 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143.

Ada Divina Palacios, 100, passed away after a long and well-lived life. She is preceded in death by her mother Zoila, sisters Concepcion and Irma, endearing and beloved husband Eduardo, and survived by her daughters, Ada Maria and Concepcion Marta, and granddaughter, Barbara.

Ada was born in Cuba in 1922. She studied pharmacy at the University of Havana and graduated in 1945. She lived and worked as a pharmacist for many years in the village of Calabazar. She had a great love for Argentinian music (both tango and folkloric), reading, and animals, especially Chuti, the family dog. Ada continued her education after coming to the United States in January 1970 with her mother, husband, and daughters. In Miami, Florida, she studied the art of cosmetology and became a licensed beautician. She did this while preparing to revalidate her degree from pharmacy school, an accomplishment she went on to achieve in 1978. For many years, she worked as a registered pharmacist in the area of retail. She loved to counsel patients, who eagerly sought her knowledge and advice in the vast field of medicine.

In 1992, she was blessed with her beloved granddaughter, Barbara, the daughter of Ada Maria and Jeffrey Joens. Ada used to call Barbara her "biggest treasure in life." She played an important role in raising Barbara with Latin American culture and traditions, including the Spanish language. Barbara has fond memories of her grandmother Nana’s unique sense of humor and relentless optimism. During difficult times, Ada would often reassure her family by saying: "Don't worry. Tomorrow will be another day."

Ada was indeed a gift to everyone who was blessed to meet her. Her light will continue shining like a star in the firmament of our lives.

Ada Divina Palacios, 100, falleció después de una larga y fructífera vida. La han precedido su madre Zoila, hermanas Concepción e Irma, entrañable y querido esposo Eduardo Palacios. Le sobreviven sus hijas, Ada María y Concepción Marta, y su nieta, Bárbara.

Ada nació en Cuba en 1922. Estudió farmacia en la Universidad de la Habana y se graduó en 1945. Vivió y trabajó como farmacéutica durante varios años en Calabazar de la Habana. Tenía un gran amor por la música argentina (tango y folclórica), la lectura y los animales, especialmente Chuti, el perrito de la familia. Ada continuó su educación después de venir a los Estados Unidos en enero de 1970 con su madre, esposo e hijas.

En Miami, Florida, mientras estudiaba para revalidar su título de farmacia, estudió el arte de la cosmetología y recibió su título de esteticista licenciada. Finalmente, recibió su licenciatura de farmacia en 1978, lo que le permitió trabajar por muchos años como farmacéutica registrada. Le gustaba aconsejar a sus pacientes, que solicitaban su ayuda y sabiduría en el vasto campo de la medicina.

En 1992, fue bendecida con el nacimiento de su queridísima nieta, Bárbara, la hija de Ada María y Jeffrey Joens. Ada siempre llamaba a Bárbara su "mayor tesoro en la vida". Desempeñó un papel importante en criar a Bárbara con la cultura y las tradiciones hispanas, incluyendo el idioma español. Bárbara tiene cariñosos recuerdos de su sentido de humor único y el optimismo indoblegable de su abuelita, Nana. En momentos difíciles, Ada ofrecía consuelo y fortaleza a sus seres queridos, diciéndoles: "No se preocupen. Mañana será otro día".

Ada fue verdaderamente un regalo para todos los que tuvieron la dicha de conocerla. Su luz seguirá brillando por siempre, como una estrella, en el firmamento de nuestras vidas.
