Amada Cudello

Ha fallecido la Sra. Amada Cudello, a la edad de 92 años, el 21 de febrero de 2023, en la ciudad de Miami, Florida. La más joven de 11 hermanos y hermanas, nació el 30 de abril de 1930, en Cabaiguán, Las Villas, Cuba, donde vivió toda su vida hasta emigrar a los Estados Unidos para reunirse con su única hija, Mayda Gonzalez Cudello, y sus adorados nietos, Yosbel Ibarra y Carlos Ibarra. Siempre mantuvo en su corazón a su esposo, Emilio Gonzalez, quien precedió su fallecimiento y fue el amor de toda su vida. También nunca dejo que la distancia disminuyera el amor que sintió siempre por su familia en Cuba, incluyendo a sus muchos hermanos, sobrinos y demás familiares. Bien conocida por ser una cocinera extraordinaria, al llegar a su casa, siempre tenía listo una deliciosa comida, incluyendo su famoso flan. Para ella la comida no era solo subsistencia, pero una expresión de su amor para su familia y sus invitados. Fue abuela no solo de sus nietos, pero también de muchos de aquellos que tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerla, incluyendo las parejas de su hija Mayda y nieto Yosbel, el Keith Labadie y Drew Stoudt, respectivamente, e igual que de muchos de los amigos de la familia. Amada nos enseñó con sus sacrificios y manera de ser el significado del amor por familia. Su familia y las demás personas que la conocieron nunca la olvidaran y la tendrán siempre en su corazones.

On February 21, 2023, in Miami, Florida, Mrs. Amada Cudello passed away at 92 years of age. The youngest of 11 brothers and sisters, she was born on April 30, 1930, in Cabaiguan, Las Villas, Cuba, where she lived all her life until emigrating to the United States to be reunited with her only daughter, Mayda Gonzalez Cudello, and the grandsons she adored, Yosbel Ibarra and Carlos Ibarra. She always held in her heart her husband, Emilio Gonzalez, who predeceased her and was the love of her life. She also never let distance diminish the love she always felt for her family in Cuba, including her many siblings, nieces and nephews, and other family members. Well known for being an extraordinary cook, upon arriving at her home she would always have ready a delicious meal, including her famous flan. For her, meals were not just sustenance but an expression of her love for her family and guests. She was “abuela” to not only her grandsons, but also to so many of those who had the opportunity to know her, including the spouses of her daughter Mayda and grandson Yosbel, Keith Labadie and Drew Stoudt, respectively, as well as to many other friends of the family. Amada taught us with her sacrifices and manner of being the meaning of love for one’s family. Her family and those who knew her will never forget her and always hold her in their heart.

Un velorio para Amada se realizará el viernes, 24 de febrero de 2023 desde las 5:00 p.m. hasta toda la noche en Caballero Rivero Little Havana, 3344 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135. Su sepelio se llevará a cabo el sábado, 25 de febrero de 2023 a las 1:30 p.m. en Caballero Rivero Woodlawn North, 3260 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135.
