Ana Maria Bonet joined the Angels on Monday August 7th after a brave battle against Mucosal Melanoma. Born in Havana Cuba on 4/6/1955, Ana fled with her family on the last Ferry from Havana to Miami after being tipped off that the Grandfather was on Fidel’s next execution list. Previously Castro’s henchmen had put a weapon to her Grandfather’s head and ordered "the keys to the factory (match factory) or your brains!".
Ana enjoyed fishing and traveling the world extensively throughout her life and was blessed to visit many parts of the world. She was an accomplished equestrian. Had a passion for animals. She truly enjoyed dancing and socializing with her friends, the women at Body and Soul. Ana was active with Nicholas Children's Hospital where she was an R.N. and had served as the Nurse Educator for the Operating Room. Ana had a steady stream of coworkers and friends that kept in touch and visited.
Ana's last words sounded like, “Did you count all the sponges?"
Ana Maria Bonet is predeceased by her father Eudaldo Fernando Bonet, mother Maria del Carmine Real Bonet, paternal grandparents Amada Bonet Bonet and Guillermo Bonet, (step) Juana Maruca Bonet, maternal grandparents Vicente Nester Real and Clara Alfonso Real.
