My dear sister Avarita (Ava) it has been five years since you left us, it is as if it was yesterday.  Life goes on, but it's not the same. I remember all the fun things we did together, the cruises, the endless shopping, the long talks on the phone.  I hold these memories close to my heart.  I wish you were here to see your grandson, what a treasure he is.  You have a new daughter-in-law, she is lovely, and also into education, I can see you and her in long conversations about what is going on in the schools.
My dear friend/sister I miss you so much, but I am sure we will meet again.
You are always in my heart and on my mind. Rest in Peace my dear sister.

Remembering my dear friend and sister Avarita Miller(Ava). She left us suddenly June 18. 2019. Three sad years. To say I miss her is a understatement, there is so much I would love to share with her, but God wanted her home.
Her precious grandson will never know what a wonderful grandmother she was. I know she’s watching from the clouds.
I am thankful for the times we spent together, our cruises, trips overseas and our long talks on the phone. 
Sleep on my dearest friend, I will never forget you.

Two years since my dear sister by love, Avarita (Ava) was called home.  We will never understand why so soon, but only God has the answer.  You are missed so much my dear friend, sister and confidant. No one can replace you. 
Next Thursday, 25th of June 2021, our son will be getting married.  I will do my best to represent you, but I know you’ll be with us in spirit.  Sleep on my dear sister, until we meet again.

Today is one year since my dear friend  and sister went to be with the Lord. It is still hard to understand why she was taken from us, and so suddenly, but only God has the answer.
I have not deleted her phone number or her picture from my screen saver, in lots of ways she is still in my life.  We shared so much, I will always remember and cherish her memory.

Avarita (Ava) her American name, was a dear friend, a sister. We met around age five at kindergarten school in Kingston, Jamaica became fast friends.  Later went to the same high school, and stayed friends until her recent passing. Spoke to her on the phone around 10:00 A.M  Tuesday, June 18, a few hours later received the devastating news.  Avarita was the most thoughtful, kindest person I have met. Nothing was too good for her to give or share. Words  cannot express my loss, I will never get used to not talking to her on the phone and seeing her at social gatherings, but  she is in a better place, no more pain or heart-ache. The Lord was ready to take her home.  I have consoled myself that this was her time, we all have a time. Rest in peace my dear sister, 'till we meet again.


Deepest sympathies to the family in the loss of our beloved. I know she is resting in the arms of our Lord.
Wonderful memories of the kindest, most sincere friend and colleague I have ever worked with.  Avarita always put others first and was always blessing others with kindness. She often would just stop by and give me things she knew I could use or needed without even saying.  We all will miss her physical presence, and cherish the memories.
