After every hug goodbye, after every text, after every FaceTime, after every phone call, after every Sit down talk,  my nephew ALWAYS  has the three words for me.

Primo ❤️ You were and will always be a light to this world. Always kind, loving, genuine, funny and wonderful to be around. We had a conversation after we both got married, only months apart from each other, and you told me “you know, when you know, you know.” I agreed and we laughed- I completely understood what you meant.  It was great to see and hear what a truly spectacular man you grew into and enjoy a “grown up” conversation with my cousin that I remember as a little kid playing Tony hawk pro skater and falling into the pool with while playing “mercy”. 

I saved a voicemail from you right before we had that conversation after my wedding and you say in it “just know that you’re in my prayers, and my thoughts and you’re always in my heart.” Just know, I feel the same way about you. I am praying for you, and thinking about you and you will live on always in my heart and the hearts of so many others that you touched. You’re in good hands now with my dad and abuelo, and I know you will always be with us. I love you, cuz. -  Emily ❤️

We will miss you dearly. You were taken too soon from everyone. Your incredible smile that always made everyone around you smile will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace. God bless you.

I am so very sorry about your loss. Brian had become a good friend to me and I considered him like a brother of mine. His passing is a terrible tragedy for all of us who knew him. I share my deepest sympathy and condolences.

Your son was a great friend to me. Through a short time of knowing him, It felt as if I knew him a lifetime. I admired all those wonderful qualities that made him the special person that he was. I was Alonso’s drill sergeant at Fort Benning. He was a good kid. Alonso reminded me of myself when I first joined the Army. Leadership potential, strength, but arrogant. Because he reminded me of myself I took a personal liking to him and went extra hard on him. I seemed as tho I didn’t approve but each and every day I challenged him to do better. He changed a lot in the 16 weeks I led him.  I was proud the day he graduated. We took a picture together and I felt good knowing I put a good new soldier into the Army. I was very saddened to see we lost him. Casas was one my troops too and My heart goes to her as she starts her young military career going through this. Casas keep your head up you have the utmost potential to do well moving forward. To the family of Private Alonso thank you for sharing him with me and allowing me the opportunity to train him. Bless you all.
Alonso, keep being the leader you are and look out for your battle buddies while up there.

      I remember the day you came to ask for our daughter's hand in marriage, from that day and the few times we shared with you we realized how great a human being you were and how much you loved our daughter. My beautiful brian I will miss you dearly. You were the sunshine to my cloudy day and the laughter when I was in pain. We met in basic training and I’m glad god put you in my path so we could meet and fall in love. You taught me a lot in the short time we were together but that’s all it took. You were My world, you loved me with everything you had. My guardian angel I will for ever cherish all our memories and will for ever hold you in my heart ❤️ 

We little knew that morning that god called your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same— it broke our hearts to loose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day god called you home.— you left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we can not see you, you are always at our side.— our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same; but as god calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

I remember meeting Brian Alonso throughout JV Football in high school. We used to have positions right next to eachother and would have so much fun teaming up against the other team. I was surprised how much fight he had and from then on learned how much of a great person Brian Alonso was throughout high school and after high school. He was a hard worker and loved to live life. So many great memories. The Alonso family are in my thoughts and prayers. They have always treated me like family.  Rest In Peace Brother. 

My favorite memories of Brian are- all of them. From the birthday parties, to the 5K’s, to family gatherings...he was always so happy, fun and loving. 
Even when we shared sad moments, everyone around him could see and feel all the love that poured out of his heart of gold. 
He was amazing to my boys, to my parents, to us.  Every time we had any communication with him, we always ended it with “I love you”.  
We will always cherish the times we had with him and he will be missed enormously. 
We love you all and pray for comfort through this tremendous loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. Even though I’m sure you knew Brian best, I want to remind you how awesome he was. I remember Brian as being the party of the party, he was always so nice and got along with everyone. His smile was contagious. He was gorgeous. He knew how to hold up a stimulating conversation.
