Tonton Camille is our uncle, mentor, and my mom's proud brother.  He and Tante Fifi were the first to immigrate to the US.  It was through his sponsorship that our mom came to the US.  It was through them that our generation has been able to raise our families and become part of the American fabric.  It was through his drive for excellence that Tonton Camille pushed his nieces & nephews to do their best, love their heritage, and stay above reproach.  He has been a role model to our family and community through his marriage, his children, and his devotion to Haiti:  
•	He is lucky to have had a 62 year loving marriage,
•	He helped raise four men who are husbands, fathers and leaders,
•	He served as the founder, president, and executive director of the Toussaint Louverture Foundation.  His actions reflected what he said and what he did.  
Our deepest condolences to Tante Fifi, Gary, Reggie, Lindsey, Dimitri, our aunts and uncles, our cousins, and all those who loved Tonton Camille.


I did not know Mr. Camille Gauthier...But I do know two of his Sons...If they are a reflection of Him...then I did know Him Some...A Job Well Done...Rest InThe Peace of Ever Lasting Love...

With deep sorrow, we learned the passing of Camille Gauthier, one of the founders of the Toussaint Louverture Foundation. In the 1970s and 1980s, in New York city, the foundation organized many conferences to shed light on present and past events that marked the political life in Haiti. Camille Gauthier retired in Florida and passed the torch to us in 2013 when we revived the foundation with the name: Toussaint Louverture Cultural Foundation. Camille was a promoter of Haitian culture through the magazine Panacea of which he was the director. He is remembered as a sincere patriot in the struggle for a better Haiti, as a man of integrity with a high sense of responsibility and also a great sense of humor. Haiti lost of one of his worthy sons. 

Condolences from the members of the Foundation to his family and friends. Camille will be missed but not forgotten. May he rest in peace.
