She was born July 1, 1934, in Miami, FL, daughter of Elmo H. Williams and Gladys Stephens Williams.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edwin E. New, and daughter Donna Jean New. She is also preceded in death by her brother Val G. Williams.
Carolyn is survived by daughter Brynda Miller, sons Edwin New, Jr., Joseph New, and James New, thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Herbert Williams.
A funeral service will be held on March 7, 2026, at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, located at 11655 SW 117th Ave, Miami, FL 33186, from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.
The committal service will follow at the same venue from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
