My condolences  to my bother, Izaak and the entire  family.  I love  you Chrissye.  You will always  be in our  thoughts. Rest in peace my dearest  sister  in law.

Chrissye, we knew you even before we met.  Martha's phone calls always included Rob, Chrissye and Izaak.  Once we met, we understood why Martha was so proud to be with you three.  We are so grateful Martha had you in her life. May you rest in peace. Your friends, Ray and Pam

A few years ago, Chrissye invited me and Martha to her home. That day she was cooking one of her signature dishes: short-ribs. Chrissye knew it was a favorite of mine. I indulged three times that day -- not out of hunger, but because her cooking was so darn delicious. Chrissye, I don't have to tell you but those ribs were the best-est in the whole wide world. Just so you know, I will be looking out for another invite. And let me say this, I believe when you are settled in Paradise, God Himself will come to your home just to savor your short-ribs. And my dear girl when He does, give God a message for me. Tell Him I'd like a word or two with Him. Tell Him He called you away too soon. Too darn soon.
 
Chrissye, I've watched you go after your medical training with such fierce determination and remarkable intelligence. And oh boy, were you a stickler for high scores! I've also watched the love you harbor for your darling son Izaak and your 'babe' Roberto like you used to call him. There are so many stories to tell my dear, but less than than two years ago when you and your two guys visited me and Martha you told me something I'll remember for the rest of my days. You said and I quote, "As soon as I start working at the hospital, I will retire Rob". Oh wow. How noble was that. How self-less was that. That would make Luis and Carmen very proud. That means our Robert loved a wonderful woman. And Izaak, a very lucky kid to have you both. And if I may, I'd like to echo the poignant and heartbreaking words from Rob, "I know you'd be here if you could, you tried so hard to live". We love you, Chrissye. Later, girl.

I struggle to find the words to express the deep sorrow that has taken grip of my heart.  You were and will always be an amazing mother to Izaak and a loving wife to Rob.  I know our Lord has welcomed you into his arms.

Miji…. I will never ever have a friend like you. 15 years of laughs, tears, despeluces, miji texts, workouts, and memories.  I cherish every single one of those memories. You were the big sister I needed. You taught me to be strong when faced with hard things and to never give up on the things that matter. You were and will always be my role model for so many things. Alana and I promised two things: a yearly brete brunch on your birthday to remember the best parts of our friendship and to make our school what you always wanted for Izaak. I love you eternally.

My dearest friend Chrissye, it’s hard to imagine a world that you’re no longer in. Over the last few years you showed me the most amount of grace, support and love. Your friendship came at one of the most transformative points in my life, entering motherhood. You were always a shoulder from me whether at 1 in the afternoon or 3 in the morning. Thank goodness your sleep schedule was just as bad as mine was.

When starting a business, you were one of my biggest cheerleaders and a constant sounding board. I’ll always treasure all the times you would drop by the office to drop off delicious goodies. Or all the times you helped build furniture. The furniture building was a sight to see when our husbands were not around to save the day LOL. 

It was such a privilege to finally get to see you living out your nursing dreams, traveling with your family, and making new memories for you Izaak and Rob (of course Kilo too!). I only wish you had more time enjoying this chapter, you deserved that and so much more. 

What I will miss most, besides jodiendote all day with every minuscule detail of my life, is our spa days and brete brunches. While yes those were nice escapes from reality, those times together were soul healing. Christie and I will have a brete brunch every year for your birthday to celebrate you and the incredible woman you were.  I always did and will always  admire your selflessness in all that you did as a mother, wife, daughter, but most important to me, a friend. 

I hope you are enjoying your Grandmother’s tamal en cazuela with her by your side and please give Aba a big hug and a kiss for me. I will miss you everyday until we meet again my friend. 🦋

Chrissye my dear friend I am so grateful that I got to meet you, and spend a lot of amazing time together. I will always remember you with a big smile and our crazy talks, and chisme. You are gone too soon but I’m sure we’ll meet again. I love you forever my friend.

So many beautiful memories with our boys. I will miss you. Sending love, light, and strength to Rob, Isaak, and Kilo. Rest in peace my beautiful friend.

I don’t have any pictures of us together. But I always remember her being the first parent to show me grace at an autism parents group. It was my first and I was so nervous, she knew this and waited till the group was over to come and chat with me. Her and her beautiful family would visit my place of work from time to time and she was just such a good woman, person, and MOM!!!!!  We send only good things and love to Rob and Izaak, and hope she is with our Lord to further watch over them ! We are here for you and so sorry for this loss. 
May God keep you in his graces and watch over you during this difficult time.  Chrissy, I hope you can see us all and watch over Izaak and get the spa treatments you deserve! We love you and we hope you are at peace.

When I think of Chrissye, I think of her sitting in the waiting room after my therapy sessions with Izaak. Before I gave feedback from the session or said anything she would tell me thank you and you could feel her deep gratitude.  Some kids had nanny’s or grandparents pick them up and drop them off for therapy- but not Izaak, his mom was always there. I believe she will always be Izaak’s guardian angel because her love was  so great. Nothing, not even death can separate her love from you.

I vowed to love you until death as we stood holding hands. We pledged to be together until our lives were through. I thought we'd spend the golden years ahead, just you, Izaak and I. I know you'd be here if you could, you tried so hard to live.
