December 23, 1932 – October 12, 2025
With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life well lived, the family of Corine Morgan announces her peaceful passing on October 12, 2025, at the age of 92.
Born on December 23, 1932, in Hawkinsville, Georgia, Corine lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, and unwavering love. A devoted caregiver by nature and by profession, she served for many years as a nurse's aide, touching countless lives with her tender hands and kind spirit. Her care extended far beyond her profession—Corine was a pillar of strength and comfort to all who knew her.
To know Corine was to know a woman of deep faith. She was a passionate follower of Christ, a devoted prayer warrior, and a bright light to all who crossed her path. She gently slipped away while still on her knees during her morning prayer—a passing as peaceful and faithful as the life she lived. Her sweet and loving spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. With a heart full of grace and words that soothed and inspired, Corine often expressed herself through poetry, leaving behind verses that reflected God's strength, resilience, and boundless love.
Corine was the proud and loving mother of Sheri L. McGriff (Lucious McGriff), Edwin Benson, Beverly Ann Benson, Kenneth C. Morgan, Willie James Smith, Rosa (Bobbie) Jackson, and Irma Weathers. Her legacy continues through a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each one shaped by her wisdom, warmth, and unwavering encouragement.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bernard Benson Sr. and O.C. Morgan, and her son, Bernard Benson Jr.
Corine had a unique gift for lifting others up—always encouraging, always present, always reminding those around her of their worth and of God’s promises. Her legacy is one of compassion, faith, and a life that truly made a difference.
She will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the lives she touched, the family she cherished, and the faith she embodied.
She was given her flowers by each of you while she lived, and she loved each of you. Therefore, the family requests that you please refrain from sending flowers.
