Geoffrey Alexander Allan, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 83 years old. Born on February 23, 1942, Geoffrey grew up on Inverlair Heights, a dairy farm in Victoria, Australia, as one of five children.
He and his beloved wife of over 55 years, Raquel, built a life together centered on love, faith, and family, first in Australia; then in Miami, Florida. Geoffrey was a man of many talents, always tinkering and fixing things up around the house. He found joy in playing board games, reading, traveling, and preserving his family’s history through photography and writing—culminating in a trilogy of books about the Allan family’s heritage. Above all, Geoffrey was a kind and loving man who lived his life guided by his Christian faith. Church and family, including his daughters, Rebecca and Marilou, and his grandchildren Sarah, Isabel, Ryan, and David, were the cornerstones of his life.
Though he is no longer with us, Geoffrey’s legacy of love, perseverance, integrity, and faith will continue to inspire those who knew him. A service to honor his life will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 11 am at Caballero Woodlawn South (11655 SW 117th Avenue), with visitation from 10-11 and burial at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Red Cross in his memory.
