Queridos amigos Héctor, Reina y familia. Los recordamos y saludamos en este día especial en que conmemoran los tres años de la salida a la vida eterna de Rolando. Esperamos que con el paso del tiempo, encuentren consuelo en los recuerdos y en el amor que  Rolando les dejó. En estos momentos difíciles los llevamos  con nosotros  en nuestros pensamientos y oraciones. No están solos este día. Abrazos

Queridos Hector, Reina y Victoria - Los acompañamos con nuestros pensamientos en este día de conmemoración del primer año de la despedida final de vuestro hijo y Hermano. El ya está disfrutando del descanso eterno sin dolor y sin sufrimientos. Bendiciones a todos en esta día.

I don’t know where to start off, It really hard to say goodbye to you physically but spiritually, I know we will soon connect again. 

The thing that gets to me, you won’t be there on the other side of the phone line to pick my calls or answer my imsg. Knowing you were always there for giving me advices and knowledge.  It hurts knowing, I can’t contact you for some words of wisdom. 

I’ll never forgot the first night we went out together and learning sooo much for each, I’ll never forgot the bromance we had after we first met, express how we both had same taste in  music and comparing which dj we met in person.
 knowing we did the Same things and loved the same teams. 
I remember after you told me  about the  complication in your past, I brought it up to you and ask “ if you died, how would you wanna be dressed at your funeral and you said “MFER you better put me in that REAL MADRID JERSEY WITH RONADO NAME ON IT!! “

After seeing you lay there with your jersey got me really happy with tears knowing you will be resting with the best football player to ever played in our generation on your back!

I remember the moment I thought, "Hector is the biggest mensch I have ever met." A large group of us were visiting the Aquatica waterpark and were so stoked to ride the Ray Rush waterslide. The line was over an hour long. Due to Hector's disability, he was allowed to skip the line with three fellow raft riders. He exhausted himself climbing those stairs time after time so everyone in our group could skip the line. We would have waited in the line, of course, but he insisted we all enjoyed the luxury of skipping at his physical expense.  What he put his body through to make sure his friends and family had a good time that day and countless other times makes my heart burst with gratitude and love. That's just the kind of selfless guy Hector was.

Long weekend trips to Orlando with "framily" were a hallmark of Hector's and Christy's marriage. We always had such a blast hanging out by the hotel pool and visiting the parks, indulging in chicken-fights, game nights, giant rafts, and poolside drinks. We enjoyed frequent bbqs and moonshine tastings on their insanely comfortable backyard patio. Hector and Christy threw the best get-togethers and every guest in their home was treated like family.

Hector and Christy are couples goals--they were best friends, soulmates, one another's ride or dies. I have never seen someone advocate for their partner with the kind of fierce love and protectiveness that Christy advocated for Hector. I can only hope that everyone has a strong mama bear in their corner like her when times get tough. 

But above everything else, Hector and Christy were devoted to their daughter. I have seen Drea grow up from an adorable and sassy little munchkin to a wise-beyond-her-years, fun, intelligent (and, yes, still sassy!) young woman. I credit Hector and Christy with guiding her into becoming the kind and refreshingly confident person that she is today. I hope she knows how much she is loved by all of us and that that we would do anything for her.

So thankful for the wonderful family times we were able to spend together. We love and will miss you. Love and hugs Jim and Lee 🥰

I can’t believe you are gone, you will be missed by so many people. I will cherish the memories we had. Regardless what we did we always had a good time, whether it was hanging out listening to music and watching sports, grabbing philly cheese sandwiches from hungry bears to going out and showing us the Miami nightlife. I remember first meeting you how welcoming you were telling me I’m apart of the family and seeing how much you loved and cared for Drea & Alex. The time when we went to Nikki beach and Vique wanting to make sure you had support when we walked through the club and you didn’t want us to hold on to you but when I grabbed your arm you didn’t let go. So grateful to have met you and the great times we had together. Until we meet again. 💜

It’s still so unreal to us. You passed away holding moms hand with Dad holding her and me and Alex holding Dad. As a family we saw finally rest.  Our family has always been a team and there wasn’t an obstacle we couldn’t face or beat.  From move to move, city to city, soccer games, the countless trips to Disney and Orlando so we could make sure Alex and Drea shared as many memories as possible.  I am trying hard to keep from falling apart. I look at our text messages, we’d fight and then a day later act like nothing. You were the typical big brother and I’ll never forget how you would tell me the boogie man would get me in the bathroom and I was scared to go and peed my pants. I’ll never forget having to push you up the stadium ramp and telling you to lose weight because you were still in the wheelchair - calf workout for sure. Or going to clubs and making sure no one bumped in to you.  Or your silly videos of the kids in “Camp Hector” while I worked and Drea and Alex were home during spring and winter breaks. Or when we took Alex on Rockin’ Roller Coaster and he was petrified but we made him go in the front row.  I think one of the funniest moments was the day after your wedding  at brunch we took bets on who would call who first between you and Mom because you both would never go more than a few hours without talking. It was mom. Or the way when Honduras played both you and Dad were having meltdowns expecting the coach to hear you through the TV.  I still remember being a little kid sitting at all of your games with Dad yelling on the sidelines like a crazy Hispanic. He was the only parent yelling. We still have the article of you being talked about as one of the best goalies in the state.  There’s just so much. We did so much together, summers at our grandparents house, riding our horses on the farm, just being with all our cousins.  I’ll cherish all of these memories and just try to make you proud.  We miss you so much. We know you are watching over us.

Querida familia - Lamentamos profundamente la pérdida de vuestro hijo, hermano, padre. Los acompañamos con nuestros pensamientos y oraciones por el descanso eterno de Hector Rolando. Dios lo tenga en su santa gloria, los bendiga a todos, les de valor, fortaleza y resignación.

Man this is unreal. Just a few weeks ago we were working on co-parenting strategies. Trying to navigate Drea's teen years, grades, allowance, boys and today your gone. 

 I didnt see this one coming, not yet at least.  I'm honored to have been able to be a co-dad with you. You were a great father and a courageous man. You always fought and overcame unimaginable challenges with grace and poise. A true champion and inspiration. 

I always told you that my role as step dad was secondary to you. This was because the passion and love that you had for Andrea was so evident.  I never wanted to take away any fatherly first experiences from you. Knowing that your time here was precious. 

I  want you to know that I will carry on your legacy by doing the best I can in helping raise Andera. I've got her back 1000%.  I'll have you in my thoughts through all the special times and know you will be watching over her right by her side. We will do right by you! 

Rest in peace brother. I'll see you on the other side. 

Hector, you were such a good soul with a kind heart. You made my daughter very happy and made her a “mom”. The life you made together  was a beautiful and happy life. I’m so sad you are gone way to soon ! We will  treasure our many  vacations to the mountains & spending time in Marco Island. My daughter is suffering but is strong.. we are blessed you made is grandparents. We love you  so until we meet again please keep directing Christina and Andrea from heaven!  See you on the other side until then take care of Bella Boo for us! 

When you asked for my daughters hand in marriage I had concerns you would leave her as a widow at am early age. You said  you might but until then you would  love  her and be the best husband you could be. You were a man of  your word! I will miss you. Thank you for being my “Favorite” son in law and giving us Drea to love. I  will miss you. Love, Poppa Pat! 

Man I can’t believe you are not here I will always remember you this way ready for a good time and to help out anyone at anytime brother love you to the moon and back and know you are missed. 

A big brother is your first friend, your protector, and as you grow up your best friend. I am lucky to have had a bond as strong as ours was.  We would fight and then everything would be ok. I'd call you about bad plays for a soccer game or how bad the offense was for UM football. Our last conversation was about UM's head coach and what the season would bring. And not only were you a great big brother but as an uncle, you were the best. Alex was lucky to have you in his corner. I see so much of you in him. You were my biggest supporter and I will forever carry you in my heart. Take care of our sister in heaven and watch over our parents. We miss you so much.  I love you Hector.
