Isabel Garcia

Isabel Garcia, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in West Miami, Florida on December 28, 2025, at the age of 94, just 10 years after the passing of her devoted husband Humberto Garcia.

Born on April 15, 1931, in Oriente, Cuba to Armando Castro and Genoveva Freire.

Isabel was known for her resilience, warmth, and friendliness. Even with all her medical challenges, if you would ask how she was feeling she would respond: "Tengo que decir que me siento bien". She fought like a warrior.

Isabel (nee' Castro) dedicated her life to her family and found immense joy in family gatherings, often taking her famous pumpkin flan or chicken salad. She graduated from the University of Havana with a PHD in Pedagogy and spent many years working in education, impacting countless lives before moving to the United States.

She is survived by her loving children, Humberto Garcia, daughter-in-law Olga, Aixa Reyes, son-in-law Jorge; four devoted grandchildren, Anisa Jomarron, spouse Ernesto, Kevin Reyes, Spouse Samantha, Javier Garcia, Amanda Gonzalez, spouse Anthony; along with four great-grandchildren, Christopher Jomarron, Damian Jomarron, Isabella Garcia and Khaleesi Reyes; two brothers, Armando Castro, Gilberto Castro; a sister Jaqueline Mena and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Isabel had an extraordinary gift for nurturing deep lasting relationships with her friends and those around her.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 6:00pm at Caballero Rivero Funeral Home 8200 Bird Road.
