

With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Laureano Manuel Gonzalez, affectionately known as Manny or Nin. Born in Banes, Cuba, Manny's journey was one of resilience and determination. He built a life rich in experience and connections, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Manny was a son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, student, husband, immigrant, father, business owner, boater, cook extraordinaire, family patriarch, and a cherished friend. He pursued his education at Meetinghouse (Quaker) School, Havana Military Academy/Boarding School, and later at the University of Alabama. After having to immigrate to the United States, his professional life was marked by dedication and craftsmanship at Graphic Finishers Inc., where he made a lasting impact along with his son.
Beyond his work, Manny had a passion for the sea and the kitchen, known for his culinary talents that brought family and friends together. His wisdom, warmth, and unwavering support made him the heart of his family, a guiding presence whose influence will be felt for generations.
Manny is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Miriam Mestre Gonzalez; his son, Ernest M. Gonzalez, and his partner, Hal C. Marshall; his sisters, Mercedes Martinez and Olga Perez; his brother, Juan Gonzalez; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a devoted family man whose presence brought joy and strength to all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the stories, lessons, and love he leaves behind.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Caballero Rivero 3344 SW 8 St. A committal service will occur Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 10:30AM to 11:00 AM at Memorial Plan Flagler Memorial Park, 5301 W Flagler St, Miami, FL 33134
Rest in peace, Manny/Nin. You will be missed beyond measure but never forgotten.
