My condolences to the family of my favorite music teacher.   During my education at North Eastern Academy,  NY (1984-1987), I always admired Mr. Chung.  His poise, his diligence, and so quiet.  I don't think I ever heard him speak lol.  Ok he spoke softly,  when he needed to, as I remembered.  And he was always so in control of his emotions.   And even though he was serious,  or look serious,  it wasn't scary.  I felt safe.  I just sat here, and thought about Mr. Chung, and I was like to myself, "hey, what happened to Mr. Chung?"  Then I said to myself that he was up in age when I last saw him at some church event or something like that.  It was a long time ago.  So I typed his name, his career, and of course his religion and there his picture popped up, cause I wasn't sure about his first name, or if I was spelling the last name properly.   I was like there he is!! I know that face anywhere lol.  And I  was amazed, and happy that it's not too long ago he passed away.  I cannot wait to see my music teacher when Jesus returns.  And even greater still playing the piano along with the heavenly orchestra in Jesus mighty name 🙏

A life well lived. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Sincere condolences to the family and friends of our dear Lloyd Chung, a talented and dedicated musician who blessed us with his music. I met him years ago when he brought the 100 voice Choir to Jamaica. 
We look forward to seeing our friend in the heavenly choir when Jesus comes back for the faithful. Have a peaceful rest until the morning.

Condolences to the Chung family from the Salmon, Graham and Jefferson families. We were heartbroken to learn of his passing. Mr. Chung was my music teacher at Northeastern Academy in Manhattan and a dear friend of my late father, Keith Salmon. He was always a consummate professional and a loyal friend.

Mr. Chung was one of the most disciplined musician that I had the pleasure of working with.  I sang with the Jamaica Independence Choir (New York Chapter) for many years under Mr. Chung's directorship. He was strict; he was precise; he was respectful and he brought out the best in us. Mr. Chung was more than just a masterful organist and director.  I am pleased to say that Mr. Chung was a friend. His death has left a void that will be difficult to fill. Rest in Peace, my brother.  See you on the other side.

I always admired Lloyd's quiet demeanor. He was an excellent organist with a command of the stops on each organ he played.

 I am longing for our Lord to return as I am assured we will meet never to part again.

Lloyd Chung served as the main Organist of our home church, City Tabernacle, Seventh-Day Adventist  church, in New York City from the early 1960’s until he relocated to Florida. He was the consummate master musician,  always humble and possessed a warm smile. “Can’t wait until they ring the golden bells of Jubilee and we hear Lloyd play once more!
