Luis E. Catasus, 56, passed away due to Mental Health Illness.
Luis was a High School Graduate from Sunset Sr. High in 1982 and went off to serve in the Navy for a few years stationed in San Diego, CA, and returned to finish his Bachelor’s Degree and later on achieve a Masters Degree, amongst countless certifications & licenses throughout his lifetime.
Survived by wife, Denise A. Catasus for 32 years and together for 35. He had two children with Denise, Haley, 28, and Derek, 30.
More than half his lifetime he spent in the Telecommunications industry with executive titles, as well as owning many companies throughout his lifetime in different industries but mostly within the Real Estate Sales & Brokerage field.
Luis, was such a giving soul. If someone needed help, whether it be family, a friend, organizations that he participated/supported/believed in, he would do whatever he could even when he couldn’t. Luis made donations & contributed his time & heart to non-profits such as St. Jude, ASPCA, E.P.I.C (which he was a board member as well), etc.
Luis was an extremely intelligent individual, one who would always strive; one whom so many would come to for advice or help. He was beyond motivational and always had a positive attitude in life; even with the ups & downs that life brings us all, he always found a way to see the glass half full
instead of half empty. He enjoyed many things in his life, even the most simplest of things like just watching the sunset in the backyard. He loved the ocean where he enjoyed boating, fishing, or just
relaxing in salt water. On weekends, he enjoyed going to the gym & playing racquetball with a group of his friends, which was an everyday routine for him. Even more so, he loved his family the most, especially vacations spent together. There wasn’t a mountain he wouldn’t move for them. We will miss your everyday motivational quotes. He was the most loyal, dedicated, accepting, and loving person. Words cannot express the type of Father and Husband that he was.
Luis, Dad, Kike, you will be missed more than anyone will ever know and forever loved. Rest In Peace Dad
