It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Manuel Iglesias, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who left us peacefully on September 19, 2024, at the age of 94. Born in Havana, Cuba, on January 26, 1930. Manuel’s life was a testament to resilience, passion, and the pursuit of craftsmanship.
Manuel immigrated to the United States in search of new opportunities, ultimately enrolling in the Joseph Bulova School of Watchmaking in Woodside, Queens, NY. His dedication and skill in horology earned him a reputation as an exceptional watchmaker.
Manuel is survived by his daughter Yvonne Rivera (Arturo Rivera); his grandson Kristian Rivera (Kelly Rivera); his great granddaughter Camila Rose Rivera; his granddaughter Nicole Rivera; his sister Wilmina Herrero and his brother Roberto Iglesias.
A visitation for Manuel will be held Monday, September 23, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Caballero Rivero Little Havana, 3344 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135. A burial service will occur Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 9:00 am at Memorial Plan at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, 6200 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143.
