Manuel, affectionately known as “Manolo” to those closest to him, lived a life deeply rooted in music, craftsmanship, and family. A professional musician and highly skilled luthier, he dedicated his life to the art of musical instrument repair. Known for his
meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to perfection, Manuel earned the respect and admiration of all who entrusted him with their instruments. His work was not just a profession, but a true passion.
Beyond his craft, Manuel will be remembered for his vibrant personality. He had a unique sense of humor—quirky, zany, and always capable of bringing a smile or laughter to those
around him. He found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially fishing, watching movies, and vacationing in the Florida Keys—places and moments that brought him peace and happiness.
Manuel is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 40 years, Sylvia Ledon Perez; his daughter, Anet Perez; his grandchildren, Daniel Gonzalez Perez, Carlota Garcia Perez, Lucia Ancares Perez, Stephanie Mendez Marin, and Luca Mendez; his great granddaughter Paloma Rose Marin-Mendez and his stepsons, Raul Mendez and Alex Mendez. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and stepfather whose unswerving love for his family was evident in all he did.
Manuel’s legacy lives on through the love and dedication to his family, the music he helped create, the instruments he restored, and the countless lives he touched with his talent, humor, and heart.
He will be deeply, deeply missed and forever remembered.
