The memories we have go way back, sneaking into the rabbit room, my hated for tomatoes, no tomatoes no ice cream, I sure missed a lot of ice cream I can assure you of that. She was another mother to me and I friend when I needed advice. 

I am happy you are resting and meeting up with the crew, give my love to all and rest in peace, Tia.

Mima has impacted each and everyone of us. She was a force, a leader and incredible guide. Her love for her family will live on for the rest of our lives. Thank you all cherished memories. I love you forever mima ❤️

Tia was like a second mother to me growing up in New York. I had many sleepovers at her house hanging out with Rosie and Gracie. I remember all the great parties we had at her house. Tia was the first one to shave my armpits ….. lol, I’ll never forget that. Then when she moved to Florida and as a young kid I would fly there on my own to visit and she took care of me as her own. Tia Melba you will be missed but your memories will live on in my heart.

When my parents arrived in the United States from Cuba, we were taken in by Melba and Fabio to get on our feet.  They changed our family tree forever with their gracious heart and opening their door.  In addition, the love that my godmother and Aunt exuded was contagious, and you couldn't help but want to share it with everyone you met.  We will forever honor her memory in helping others and being together as a family.
