Paola Reis

Paola was born on July 10, 1984 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to parents Rui and Leila Reis. Paola and her family, along with her younger brother Fernando, immigrated to Miami, FL in 1990.

Paola excelled in her studies and graduated Miami Sunset Senior High in 2003 and earned her degree at Miami Dade Community College in 2007.

Professionally, Paola worked her entire career at Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines during her high school years and early adult life until her retirement in 2018 to focus on being a mother to her two beautiful daughters, Alissa (age 12) and Sofia (age 9).

Paola loved to cruise and we think her time at Royal Caribbean had something to do with that. Even though Paola got diagnosed with cancer, this illness didn’t stop her from cruising, traveling and enjoying her life to the absolute fullest with her family and friends.

Paola was a caring and loving person and a devout Christian. She was always smiling and just a phone call away for anyone that needed her. She was the rock that helped stabilized her immediate family. She helped her mother Leila care for her ailing father for several years until his passing in 2020, while tending to her own health issues with her Cancer diagnosis. Not once did she ever make an excuse to not help.

Paola fought strong and brave to the very end. Not once, did she ever lose faith even at the end. Although she is no longer with us, she will never be forgotten. She touched many lives and everyone who ever met her is so lucky to have known her. Heaven is so lucky to have gained the angel that is Paola.

Paola is survived by her daughters Alissa R. Leon and Sofia R. Leon; and their father, Sandy Leon; Her mother Leila Reis; her brother Fernando Reis and his wife Lindsay Reis and their son Emerson Reis.

A visitation for Paola will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Sunset, 7355 SW 117 Ave, Miami, FL 33183.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for contributions in Paola's memory be made to a Cancer Organization of your choice.
