

Roberta was born on September 25, 1923, to Gertrude Katherine Zimmerman Misselhorn and Otto Frederick Misselhorn in Midwood Sanitarium, Brooklyn, New York.
Roberta, also known as Bobbie, Ro, Mom, Papa Tom’s Gam, Baby Grandma, Grammie, and Gramgram, was a lifetime friend to childhood buddies, neighbors, and work acquaintances, all of whom she considered family. Roberta kept up correspondence (mail) with everyone. The Christmas card list numbering more than 250 may have dwindled slightly as Roberta aged but ended only with her passing. From her early teens Roberta loved needlecrafts which engaged her lifelong. Many a card was a framed handmade cross-stitch picture. All the grandchildren and great-grandchildren delighted in Roberta’s other love, teddy bears. Roberta’s collection numbered at least 300, the sight of them arrayed in her home was a child’s delight.
A devoted mother of 4, grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 10, Roberta is survived by her daughters Robin-Lynn McClean of Lexington KY and Vicki Lynn (John) Gallo of Miami, FL, and daughter-in-law Barbara Ann Geoly of Greenwood SC, by grandchildren Stephen Drew (Julie) Geoly, Shannon Lynn Geoly, Wendy-Lynn McClean, Vicky-Lynn (Alan) Gooch, Thomas John (TJ) (Lonia) Gallo, and Lynn Victoria (Kahlil) Guilbaud, Juan Antonio (JA)(Maribel) Gallo and by 10 great-grandchildren Ele Drew Geoly, Anna Grace Geoly, Drew Stephen Geoly, Samuel McCutcheon Geoly, Emma-Lynn Gallo, Stella Lynn Gooch, and Delilah Lynn Gooch, Valarie Gonzalez, Priscilla Gonzalez, Joe Anthony Gonzalez.
A beloved aunt of numerous nephews and nieces, Roberta will be fondly remembered especially by Frank (Rosemarie) Geoly, Caroline (Joseph) Kurtz , Marie Cagiao , Celia (Robert) Simonelli, Thomas DeSilva, William (Nicki)Wolfersberger, Frank (Victoria) Wolfersberger, Jim (Teresa) Donley, Bertrum Donley and Douglas (Cathy) Donley.
Roberta was predeceased by her sons Frank Thomas Geoly and Drew Stephen Geoly.
Due to the conditions of today’s pandemic, services September 17, 2020, at 11 AM will be limited to close family. Services will be conducted by the Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South funeral home graveside at the Caballero Rivero South Dade Cemetery, 14200 SW 117th Avenue, Miami, Florida.
The family would like to thank VITAS Hospice nurses and doctors for their assistance in caring for our mother/grandmother in the last months of her life.
