It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Santiago Morejon, who departed this life peacefully on September 13, 2025, in Miami, Florida, just days before his 97th birthday.
Santiago was born on September 24, 1928, in Cuba, where he began a life rooted in strong values, resilience, and deep family bonds. He was a devoted husband and is preceded in passing by his beloved wife, as well as three sisters who passed before him.
He is survived by his loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, along with two sisters and one brother, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Santiago’s legacy is carried on through each of them, and through the values he instilled across generations.
A man of quiet strength and simple joys, Santiago had a deep love for nature. He especially cherished orchids and took pride in tending to his fruit trees, with a special fondness for mango and papaya trees that reminded him of his roots.
Santiago will be remembered for his warmth, humility, and the unwavering love he showed to those around him. He leaves behind a life well-lived and hearts forever touched by his presence.
“Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day.”
