Steven was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where he built a full and vibrant life surrounded by family and friends. He found great joy in his profession in real estate and was admired for his dedication, charisma, and ability to connect with people.
Steven was known for his sharp wit, infectious sense of humor, and his love of music, sports, and family. His humor and lighthearted spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He lived life with passion and zest. He loved playing golf, cheering at baseball and hockey games, and unwinding with a good cigar and an old fashioned. A devoted Disney fan, he cherished countless trips filled with magic and wonder. At home, Steven enjoyed working outside, especially during the holidays, when he proudly put up Christmas lights and decorations that brought joy to his family and neighbors alike. He also loved entertaining—whether mixing up drinks for friends and family or tending to his garden full of fresh herbs that he used to craft them.
Above all, Steven was a devoted father, a loving husband, a supportive brother and son, a proud grandfather, and a loyal dog dad. His family was the center of his world, and the love he gave them will live on forever.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Silvia Medina, his mother, Lucia Medina, and his children, Samatha, Emily, Andy, and Yvonna. He was predeceased by his father, Jose Medina. Steven is also survived by his brother, Joseph “Eddy” Medina (Elizabeth), as well as his treasured grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Caballero Rivero Sunset, 7355 SW 117 Ave, Miami, FL 33183 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The funeral service will take place on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th St, Doral, FL 33172.
As Steven himself would appreciate, we end with a Walt Disney quote that reflects the way he lived:
