

Wilson is survived by his spouse, Elaine Leesang; son Anthony (Tony) Leesang; and daughter Ingrid Wong. Wilson was preceded in death by son Gerard Leesang. He also leaves behind grandchilden Christopher and Tiffany Leesang and Brian Wong. Wilson is one of 13 children and is survived by brothers Alvin (Joyce Lee) and Ivan (Heather Chen), sisters Linnette ( Guy Fujimoto), Winnie (Dan Hay) and hundreds of nieces and nephews. Wilson was preceded in death by son Gerard Leesang.
Wilson was a successful businessman in Jamaica. He was President of the Chamber of Commerce in Portland and Justice of the Peace. Under his leadership, tourism boomed in Port Antonio. He was instrumental in the recruitment of the cruise lines to Port Antonio and in the development of the parish.
He was proud of his Chinese ancestry, could speak and write Chinese. He lived in China seven years from 1933 to 1940, escaped Japanese militants and returned to Jamaica He attended St. Anthony school for 4 years in Port Antonio. He had to cut short his studies at a young age of 15 when his father died. He carried on the family business Sang Hing supermarket with his mother. Eventually he founded City Centre Plaza with his brother Dr. Ivan Leesang, but operated it by himself for many years.
His hobby included singing opera songs, basketball and reading Chinese history books. More than anything he adored his family. Tony was like his sunrise and Ingrid like his sunset in his life.

A funeral mass for Wilson will be held Friday, July 31, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Agatha Catholic Church, 1111 SW 107 Avenue, Miami, FL 33174. Following the funeral mass will be a committal service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117TH AVE, MIAMI, FL 33186.
