Blake A. Powers

Age 44 of Gainesville, GA passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014. He was born March 5, 1970 in Dayton, OH to Frank D. Powers of Atlanta, GA and Sharon T. (George) Powers of Duluth, GA. Blake is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sally Rogers (2014) and Albert George (2013) and paternal grandfather, Burton Powers (2008). In addition to his parents, Blake is survived by grandparents, Paul Rogers, Pearl George and Ida Mae Powers all of Miamisburg; his wife, Ashley Powers; daughter, Bailey Powers and children, Layla, Jamere and Jaden all of Gainesville, GA; siblings, Ryan Powers of Snellville, GA and Tracy Powers of Duluth, GA; nieces, Emma and Ella and his father’s wife, Melissa. Blake was a 1988 graduate of Duluth High School. He was a landscaper owning and operating ABL Landscaping for the past 2 years. Blake enjoyed spending time with his children, reading, NASCAR, professional football and Georgia Tech baseball. He will always be lovingly remembered as a father, son, brother and uncle. Family will receive friends from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM Friday, September 12, 2014 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg, OH. Funeral services will begin 12:30 PM also on Friday at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Deb Holder. Burial will follow at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg.
