Charles Joseph Lewis

LEWIS, Charles Joseph, age 66 of Miamisburg passed away unexpectedly following a medical procedure at Kettering Medical Center on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. He was born January 21, 1950 in Toccoa Falls, GA to the late Ethan and Jean (Smith) Lewis. Charlie is survived by numerous friends including his former spouse, Brenda Barnett of Belleview, FL and Kevin and Glenna Springhart of Brookville, OH who have been instrumental in caring for Charlie’s affairs. He was a graduate of West Carrollton High School and completed some college courses. Charlie was a surveyor by trade having worked for numerous companies in Ohio and Kentucky during their development and a long-standing member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1645, Miamisburg, Model Railroad Club and was a devoted NACAR fan following the career of Dale Earnhardt through his collections and travels to attend races. Charlie was also a member of the Parkview United Methodist Church, Miamisburg. The church will host a memorial service at 7:00 pm Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 3713 Benner Rd., Miamisburg in honor of Charlie’s life.
