David Dwight Shell

Age 59 of Dayton and formerly of Miamisburg, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Echoing Woods Residential Center. He was born April 10, 1956 in Dayton to the late Harry and Hazel (Starkey) Shell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Munger and brother, Paul Bruce Shell. David is survived by his brother, John Shell of Dayton; nieces, Shelly Rappold, Maria Bridewell and Tara Ragan and nephew, Andrew Munger as well as numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins and his uncle, Dr. Paul Starkey of Oregon. David was a kind soul who loved boats and always looked forward to the facility's annual summer camp. He participated in Montgomery County Connection Workshop for many years where he was given the opportunity to perform and learn different skills and tasks. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all his family and friends at Echoing Woods where he was blessed to reside since 2009. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date to honor and celebrate David's life. Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg will serve as David's final resting place.
