He was born December 9, 1971 to Charles Eugene Gillman and the late Connie Maureen Ramey. Doug was a Miamisburg High School Class of 1991 graduate. He worked at General Motors for over 14 years and went into commercial transportation for the remainder of his career, where he achieved a Million Miles as a safe driver. His hobbies included rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, enjoying great conversations with friends and family, as well as camping and movie time with his wife.
Doug is survived by his loving Queen of 28 years, Jennifer Elizabeth Gillman; children, Shawn Douglas Gillman, Samantha Elizabeth Gillman-Helton and her husband Nicholas Skye Helton; parents, Charles Eugene Gillman and Sylvia Jean Gillman; parents-in-law, Glenn Clark Danner and his wife Karen Sue Danner; brothers, Jeffrey Eugene Gillman and his wife Jennifer Mary Houtz-Gillman, Jeromy Ladd Carpenter and his wife Jamie Lynn Carpenter; nieces and nephews; and numerous loved ones.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE FUNERAL HOME, Miamisburg, Ohio. A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Getts officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
