

DAVIS, Francis Brooks “BD” Jr. age 62 and formerly of Miamisburg. The world lost a loving, talented and kind gentlemen on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. Brooks was surrounded by family and visited by close friends as he gracefully gained his place in Heaven. He was under the care of TriStar Greenville Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY and was battling a severe lung cancer diagnosis. Brooks was born December 8, 1953 in Mt. Sterling, KY to the late Francis Brooks Sr. and Lucy Katherine (McFarland) Davis Bow. In addition to his parents, he was welcomed in Heaven by a brother-in-law, Leeroy Milligan and numerous friends. He will forever be loved by his wife, Irma Faye (Davis) Davis; his daughter, Abby Lynn Davis; step-children; JR (Christina) Witt, Charlie (Annie) Witt and Brian Witt; step-grandchildren, Katilyn, Aidan and Carson; sisters, Bonnie (Leeroy) Milligan and Bertie (Wayne) Caudill and brothers, William “Bill” (Gwen) Davis and Tony (Linda) Davis. Brooks was a wonderful uncle to 5 nieces and 2 nephews, Christy Jones, Debbi Back, Kelly Evans, Natalie Davis, Ashley Fourman, Jenny Davis, Michael Davis and Ben Davis; 5 great nephews; 1 great great nephew; 1 great great niece and his little buddy, Lilly as well as extended family and numerous friends. Brooks attended Miamisburg High School and served in the United States Army completing a tour in Europe and playing basketball for a unit team. When he returned home from the service, he became a licensed realtor working for multiple agencies and eventually establishing his own, Preferred Choice Realty Inc. in Miamisburg. He was a successful salesman for AL-KO Axis in Elkhart, IN and entrepreneur as owner of Direct Source, a nuts and bolts company in Miamisburg. Sales allowed Brooks to travel eventually landing him back in his native Kentucky as he had a deep love for the country life. Brooks and Irma Faye eventually relocated in Burkesville, Kentucky where they owned and operated Breeding Country Mart in Breeding, KY. Brooks was a good natured, hard-working and generous soul. He loved to make people laugh and went to great lengths to help children during his life. Over the years he was a dedicated UK basketball fan, avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He had attended St. Jacob Lutheran Church, Miamisburg and was member of the Moose Lodge 1645 and formerly of the Eagles 2306. His family and friends will forever carry his love with them as he was so greatly loved in return and his presence will forever be missed. Family will receive guests from 4:00-7:00 pm Friday, September 23, 2016 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will begin 11:00 am Saturday, September 24, 2016 also at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Michael Hout. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg.
