Joanne Garland Hiatt, age 62, of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 18, 1961 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Theodore and Patricia Garland of Springboro. She was a graduate of Alter High School after which she attended Spring Hill College.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Daniel Baker; late husband, Glenn Hiatt; brothers, Andrew Garland and Theodore Garland Jr.; and brother-in-law, Kevin Murphy.
Joanne is survived by her children, Andrew Baker, Patricia Baker, and Megan Baker and husband Tecumseh; grandchildren, Dillon (Teagan), Tristen, Jocelyn, and Jace; brothers, Joe (Cindy) Garland, Brian (Paula) Garland, Dan (Sharon) Garland; and sister, Jane Murphy.
She loved sharing time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling, boating, fishing, shopping, and supporting her grandchildren at all of their activities. Joanne was a dedicated member of the Miamisburg F.O.E. where she was loved by many close friends who were like a second family.
Contributions in Joanne's memory may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton, where she received exceptional and loving care.
A viewing will be Friday, March 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, 508 E. Linden Ave. Miamisburg, Ohio 45342. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Mamie Johnson officiating. Final resting place at Springboro Cemetery.
