Joe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Woolf; children, Jeff (Susan) Woolf, Jami (Aaron) Brown; grandchildren, Jordan Branham, Morgan Paul, Madison Woolf, Jake Woolf; siblings, Jean Ann (Bill) Baker, Dorothy (Perry) Boomershine, James Woolf; brother-in-law, Lee Weidner; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Arthur and Alberta Woolf; brothers, Walter Woolf, Stephen Woolf; mother-in-law, Alberta Weidner; brother-in-law, Richard (Harriette) Weidner; sister-in-law, Sandy Weidner; and nephew, William “Buff” Weidner.
Joe graduated from Miamisburg High School Class of 1964. Joe was a proud U.S. Army veteran and longtime member of the American Legion Post 165 where he also coached 14 U baseball for several years. He retired after 42 years from Dayton Progress Corporation.
Joe had a special bond with his grandkids supporting them in all their activities. He loved going to car shows, watching hydroplane boat racing, fishing, and doing yardwork “his way”. Joe enjoyed giving a helping hand to anyone in need.
Visitation will be from 10 AM – 12 PM with funeral service at 12 PM Thursday, March 13, 2025 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg, OH. Burial with Military Honors to follow at Hillgrove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buff Weidner Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Farmers & Merchants Bank Miamisburg.
