

McCAFFERTY, Kyle Lewis, age 30 of Kettering, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 4, 2014. He was born July 22, 1984 in Seoul, Korea and is survived by his mother, Robin Lynn Demarse and step-father, Todd Williams of Miamisburg; siblings, Sara Faye (Michael Hartman) Demarse of Dublin and Maggie Fern (Nick Davis) Demarse of Miamisburg; great aunt, Sandy (Robin Wolford) Holcomb; his girlfriend and life partner, Sagan Strodel of Miamisburg; his close friends, the Chandler family and many other extended family from central Ohio. Kyle was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lynda Lou Peters-Bell and great grandfather, Lewis Peters. He was a 2003 graduate of Dublin Scioto High School and immediately pursued a career with the military as a United States Marine having completed 2 tours in Iraq and ending his service as decorated veteran having earned a Purple Heart and the rank of Lance Corporal. Kyle had most recently been employed as a manager for Walgreen’s the last four years and hoped one day become a professional writer. He had a sincere appreciation for literary arts, reading and writing and always excelled at artistic endeavors. Kyle enjoyed making people laugh and will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor. He also loved to eat, gaming and a good comic book. Family will receive friends from 3:30 - 5:00 PM Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. A celebration of Kyle’s life will follow at 5:00 PM also at the funeral home and officiated by Dignity Celebrant, Stephanie Tuerck.
