

Suites of Walnut Creek, Kettering. He was born April 25, 1918 in Dayton, the son of Hugo and Bertha (Rebman) Kahl. Martin proudly served his country in the Unites States Army Air Corp during World War II. He was also a member of the Army National Guard and at the age of 15 he was in the CCC’s. Over the years, he spoke at various schools in the Dayton area sharing his experiences during the war. Some of Martin’s stories are on record in the Library of Congress and his military uniform will be kept on display in the Germantown World War II Memorial. Martin retired from Inland Manufacturing after over 25 years of service, where he worked as a Foreman. He spent many years painting house and was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He is survived by his children, Martin W. (Cindy) Kahl of Miamisburg and Debbie (Eric) Tschanz of Kingsville, MO; grandchildren, Shelly (Tim), Kerry (Keith), Kasey (Brian), Zane (Sarina), and Graham (Marisa); 5 great grandchildren, Ryan (Maria), Taylor (Austin), Hunter, Travis, Beau, Tagen, and Addie; 1 great-great grandchild, Aaron; sister, Elsie (Carl) Bolander of West Chester; as well as several nieces and nephews. Martin was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 68 years, Ethel (Lovelace) Kahl; brothers, Raymond and Elmer Kahl.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family and burial will be in Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg. Services are entrusted to GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg.
