

Monica Blanche (Palmer) Geis, age 44 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in her home after a three year battle with ALS. She was born August 25, 1971 in Grand Rapids, MI. Monica graduated from East Grand Rapids High School and received a degree in Sociology from the University of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her father, Bradley Higbie Palmer and parents-in-law, Jack William Geis and Marian Lee Geis. Monica is survived by her husband, David William Geis, her daughters, Alexandra Anne and Katherine Blanche Geis, her mother, Judith Duffy Palmer, a brother Bradley Hunt (Nancy) Palmer, brother-in-law, Mark William (Tina) Geis as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Despite crushing physical limitations, Monica’s bright flame never wavered, nor did her determination to be a loving mother, wife, daughter and friend. She is truly an inspiration to her family. Family will hold a reception at 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Good Hope Church, Miamisburg on Saturday, April 30, 2016 followed by a memorial mass at 10:30 A.M. and Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg will serve as Monica’s final resting place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association at 20 Mayfield Ave., Fort Thomas, KY, 41075 or SICSA at 2600 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH, 45419.
