TOWNSEND, Ollie G., age 88 of Carlisle, passed away Thursday morning January 24, 2013 at her residence. She was born March 8, 1924 in Beattyville, KY to the late Granville and Lillie (Mays) Gross. In addition to her parents, Ollie was preceded in death by her husband, Alden Townsend; her four brothers and a sister. She is survived by her daughter, Jean (Jimmy) Estes of Franklin; grandson, David (Kim) Estes; twin great granddaughters, Taylor and Hayley; sisters, Beulah Estes of Miamisburg and Eula Little of Beattyville, KY as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Ollie dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and making rugs. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Friday, February 1, 2013 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 Noon Friday also at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Stephen Spurgin. Burial will take place 1:00 PM Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Logue Cemetery, Beattyville, KY.
