Paul A. Gutshall passed away on June 17, 2016. He was cherished by his wife, Pam, and their three daughters: Amy, Suzanna (Andy), and Rachel. Also, Paul doted on his grandchildren, Dustin and Adaline. Paul was born in Middletown (Mayfield) on February 19, 1947, to Robert and Irene Gutshall. With his two brothers, Jerry and Ken, and sister Dee, they had a classic baby boomer childhood. After discovering and developing his lifelong love of football, Paul graduated from Monroe High School in 1965. During his senior year at Miami University, he began to teach 6th grade at Pennyroyal Elementary. When he graduated, he moved to Carlisle and taught for a decade. Married for 41 years, Paul and Pam chose Miamisburg to rear their girls and within a few years of moving to the community, Paul was elected to City Council-at-Large. For 17 years, he loved helping shape the city as it moved into the 21st century. Paul retired from the State of Ohio Economic Development Department. Upon retirement, Paul and Pam spent time at Dale Hollow Lake, KY. The best times were fishing, boating, and having their family at the house on the lake.
