Age 89 of Miamisburg, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Kingston of Miamisburg. She was born August 28, 1925 in Kentucky to the late Hansford Woods and Suda Forbes. Due to the early death of her Mother she was raised in Laurel County by her great-grandmother Susan Shelton, who gave her a strong, independent spirit. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Davis, son-in-law James Warrick and great-grandson Gage. Pearl is survived by her children, Glenn (Penny) Davis of Franklin, Dan (Ginger) Davis of Springboro, Vicky Warrick of Miamisburg, Ted (Laura) Davis of West Carrollton; grandchildren, Amy McClelland, Dawn Warrick, Diana Mearriam, George Davis, Chris Warrick and great grandchildren, Lauren, Megan, Brad, Blayne, Ayla, Cruze and Alivia. During WWII Pearl was a "Rosie the Riveter". She assembled B-17 tail wings at the Mutual Furniture Co. when it transferred to war work. Later she was one of the first employees at Southview Medical Center. Her good nature and sense of humor made her many friends there. Pearls greatest pride was her family and her love of children and nature. With a kind soul and pure heart she rescued many "critters" (both tame and wild). She also had a love of flowers and a talent for growing them. The family extends many thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Kingston of Miamisburg. Family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday, November 24, 2014 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Burial will be on 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 31 Whipp Rd.
