Robert L. "Bob" Dutcher

DUTCHER, Robert L. “Bob”, age 90 of Miamisburg, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 31, 1925 in Dayton, OH to the late Robert Dewey and Christine (Gray) Dutcher. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary Jane Dutcher in 2009 and his siblings, Jane Anslinger and Shorty Dutcher. He is survived by his children, Cathy A. (Pat) Geary of Miromar, FL and Robert D. (Darlene) Dutcher of South Carolina; grandchildren, Mike (Diana) Geary of Medina, Jeff (Cyndi) Geary and Tim (Becky) Geary both of Strongsville, OH; great grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Adam, Grant, Kyle, Connor, Jack, Brian and Lauren as well as a dear friend and family member, Pat McGraw. Bob was a 1943 graduate of Miamisburg High School and received his Master’s at the School of Hard Knocks. He was a WWII Veteran having served honorably for the United States Navy. Bob was a self-employed franchise owner having operated both Sunoco and Shell Service Stations and a Maxwell House Coffee distributor retiring at a youthful 70. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Trinity Church, Miamisburg. Bob also volunteered for many years at Sycamore Hospital and at Jamaica Run Golf Club as a starter. During his spare time Bob enjoyed family, friends and caring for his home and property. Family will receive friends and loved ones from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Trinity Church, Miamisburg. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM also at the church and officiated by Pastor Joe Getts. Burial will take place at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton at 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420 in Bob’s memory.
