Ruth A. Dawson Baumann

BAUMANN, Ruth A., age 85 of Miamisburg, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Laurels of West Carrollton under the care of Evercare Hospice. She was born June 13, 1928 in Morehead, KY to the late Cecil and Lottie (Sparkman) Dawson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bob Baumann and Otis Hicks, and son-in-law, James Marquis. She is survived by her children, Gloria (Steven) Wolf of TN, Karen Marquis of Miamisburg and Ronald (Sissy) Deuser of Middletown; grandchildren, Stephanie Warren, Scott Wolf, Stacey Ford, Shane Wolf, Holly Bates, Heather Sartin and Daniel Cox; great grandchildren, Hayley Warren, Brynn Warren, Caleb Martin, Reanna Martin, Skylar Wolf, Aurora Wolf, and Xander Cox as well as many other extended family and friends. Ruth was a high school graduate who worked at GE for several years before beginning her career as a hairdresser. She had acquired her pilot’s license to operate small engine aircraft and enjoyed bowling, quilting, flying and square dancing. Visitation will begin 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association: Miami Valley Chapter, 31 W. Whipp Rd., Dayton, OH 45459.
