

Age 75 of Miamisburg, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Lee County, KY on August 7, 1937 to the late Leonard and Lottie (Turner) Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Loretta Walker; a brother, Arnold Williams and a sister, Mae McIntosh. Sam is survived by his wife of 49 years, Henda L. (Holbrook) Williams; his son, David D. (Donna) Williams of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Justin (Lindsey) Williams, Jason Williams, Billy Long, Alicia Long, Brandon Sams and Brittany Sams; several great grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy (John) Dair and Russell Williams; a sister-in-law, Emma Williams as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Sam was a 1956 graduate of Miamisburg High School and served in the US Army from 1956-1959. After leaving the service he worked for Miami Paper and then for General Motors as a millwright for many years before retirement. Sam enjoyed walking and sporting events, especially Miamisburg Football as he was the first of 3 generations of MHS football players. He had once owned harness racing horses and was a member of Miamisburg Assembly of God. Family will receive friends from 12:30-2:30 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM officiated by Pastor John Swint. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Miamisburg.
