Born on May 4, 1960, in Cleveland, Ohio, Audrey spent her life building memories filled with joy, love, and creativity in the city she called home. Audrey had a gift for making every moment special. Her passion for crafting left its mark on every celebration, as her handmade yarn decorations personalized every party, turning simple gatherings into cherished memories. But more than her creations, it was her personality that truly made life brighter. Her antics—whether intentional or not—kept us all laughing, and we will forever treasure the one-liners that became legendary in our family: *"Don't cut that wire," "Don't look at me," "PeeMaw," and, of course, the sound of her uncontrollable laughter, which could only be described as radio static.
She leaves behind her two beloved children, Colleen Marie Fassett and Danielle Jean Strahan, who will carry on her strength and spirit. She was a devoted and adoring MeeMaw to her grandchildren: Sean Alexander Strahan, Matthew Joseph Cowling, Cayden Andrew Strahan, Harrison John Strahan, and Leo Xavier Strahan. Her love, humor, and boundless energy will live on in them and in the countless stories we will continue to share. In the end, Audrey was blessed to be surrounded by both her immediate and extended family, including Christen Cieslak, Tony Cieslak, Richard “Ippi” Cieslak Jr., Bryan Cieslak, Dave Zieleniewski and her dear friends Andrew Strahan, Patricia Malloy, Andy Sewell Jr., Bill Konarzewski, Peggy Snodgrass, Alicia Archaki, and Heather Snodgrass. The love she shared with those around her was truly a reflection of the beautiful soul she was. Audrey touched the lives of so many, and her absence will be deeply felt. While we grieve her passing, we also celebrate the joy she brought to our lives. She reminds us to enjoy every day to create, to love fiercely, and to never take life too seriously.
Services for Audrey will be conducted privately by the family. The family extends its gratitude for Danny Fassett’s generous contribution to help make these services happen.
