Borjanka Shipcka, age 71, of Macedonia, Ohio passed away surrounded by family on Friday August 14, 2020. Borjanka “Borka” was born in Durres, Albania of Macedonian descent and had lived in the Greater Cleveland area since 1995.
Dearly beloved wife of 48 years to Marko, loving mother of Leo and Hilda, dearest sister of Stojanka, Ilia, Luan and Vangjeli. Dearest aunt to Helena, Elvis, Xhoana, Ina, Ilirjani, Anisa, Kledian, Arjola and Michele. A true, loyal to the core and dear friend to so many people in different continents.
Borka was a teacher of the Russian language since graduating in 1970 from the Universiti Shteteror in Albania and she also spoke four languages. In 1995, together with her family she immigrated to the United States. While she was always a proud Albanian, Borka was a model US Citizen who was proud of the freedoms of the USA and she loved this country so much. Her love of God and the peace she found at Saint E Premte Church guided her thru her quarter century in the States.
Borka had a charismatic personality, an infectious smile, a joyous laughter, and an unconditional love for her family. She was a fountain of energy, so passionate for all she did in life.
Borka loved her life and enjoyed every second of it. She would thank God every day for waking up in the morning. Her biggest pride and joy where her son Leo and daughter Hilda and she beamed with pride of her children’s accomplishments.
Borka enjoyed every second she spent in her garden and she was the queen of flowers together with her vegetable & herbs garden. She LOVED having the most picturesque garden. She loved to travel and will always be remembered for her love of dance. The moment the music played Borka was up dancing.
Borka was her family’s foundation, the rock, the engine, the catalyst of the family’s hard work and of all that the family accomplished.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 18, 2020, from 4-8 pm at Craciun funeral home 14925 E. Bagley Rd. Middleburg Heights. Borka would want you to be safe during these times yet if you could hug your family and friends, share time with those you cherish, and never miss a time to be kind.
