Very sorry to hear about Branden's passing.  I worked with Brendan but with another aligned company.  The 1st time I came up to work onsite with Brendan we were going out to lunch.  I noticed this Gyro restaraunt which Brendan commented he never had eaten.  So we stopped & we both loved the food.  When we were walking out I realized why Brendan had not eaten there.  A small strip mall offest from the Gyro restaraunt but shared the same parking lot had a strip club as a tenet.  Brendan didn't want others to think "anything" so he never ate there.  LOL.  He told me later he took others from the company to eat Gyros so he was "good" now.

I wasn't able to make it up to Ohio for Brendan's funeral, but I did spend the day going through cherished memories of him and one thing I know is he was one happy guy!

He was a homebody and loved spending time with his family - they were his world. I remember one year he flew me up to Ohio to spend Thanksgiving with him and his family, and I had such a good time! I loved listening to Brendan, Annette, and the kids trading zingers back and forth -  I couldn't help but laugh!  They had such love for one another!

My son spent a couple of summers in Ohio getting to know the family.   He loved spending time over at Brendan and Annette's house.  I remember one day when the kids were bouncing off the walls, Brendan simply showed the sports page to Josh and my son and asked them if they knew how much a featured Cleveland Indians player made in a year.  They didn't, and Brendan proceeded to tell them. He then said, "Now go outside and practice and maybe one day that will be you playing for the Tribe!"

And he was so grounded in faith. I remember when our Mom passed away, asking Brendan why he wasn't crying like everyone else.  His answer?  "Because I know I'll see her again one day."  Such a simple answer, but it spoke volumes about his faith.  That memory brought such comfort to me today, and I hope it does for Annette and the rest of the family  too.

Brendan was such a special man and will be deeply missed. He lived with his whole heart, and anyone who knew him could see just how much he loved his family. He didn’t just say it. He showed it, every day, in big ways and small ones. His quiet strength and kindness deserves to be remembered.

He loved my sister unconditionally and told her everyday. They were devoted to one another and they always will be. She loved him with all her heart. 

He was so proud of his kids. He talked about his kids with such love and pride because they all are everything to him. He was there to cheer you on, support you, and love you. And then came the grandkids and his heart somehow got even bigger. The grandkids brought out a whole new side of Brendan. A softer, even more tender side. You could see it in his smile, in the way he’d light up around them or talk about them. They brought him so much joy. Every laugh, every huge, every accomplishment, he soaked it all in. They were his sunshine.

His faith was such a big part of who he was. It wasn’t loud or showy. It was something he carried in the way he lived his life. He was grounded, kind, generous. His belief in God gave him peace. We hope he is at peace, with god, and watching over his family who meant everything to him.
