Catherine Holda, age 93, of Parma, Ohio, entered into eternal rest on January 10, 2026. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Vasil and Viqke Thoma, who instilled in her the values of faith, family, and devotion that guided her throughout her life.
Catherine was the devoted and loving wife of John James Holda, her husband and partner in life, who preceded her in death on January 19, 2017. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering commitment to family. She was a proud and caring mother to Tyna Klingenberg (Ken Kendzierski) and Terry Schultz (Ken), whose lives were shaped by her guidance, strength, and endless love. She was a deeply cherished grandmother to Tracy Drozd (Ed), Carrie Tucker (Tim), Vikki Klingenberg (Ramsey Jackson), Bill Klingenberg (Chrissy), Jonathan Schultz (Lindsey), and Jeffrey Schultz (Amy), and a devoted great-grandmother to Andrew Drozd (Maureen), Ava Drozd, Hunter Sarasua, Sophia Tucker, Alaina Tucker, Miles Tucker, Madilynn Sarasua, Mason Sarasua, Ella Klingenberg, Dakota Schultz, Esme Schultz, Jake Schultz, and Tommy Schultz. Her joy knew no bounds when it came to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Catherine is survived by her sister Sophie Hall and was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Thoma, Dhimitra Tasse. She was a loving aunt, loyal friend, and a steady source of comfort and encouragement to many.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 4PM-8PM with a Trisagion Service at 7PM at Craciun Funeral Home, 14925 E. Bagley Rd., Middleburg Heights, Ohio. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11AM at St. E Premte Orthodox Church, 10716 Jasper Rd., Cleveland, Ohio 44111. (MEET AT CHURCH) Interment will follow at St. Theodosius Russian Orthodox Cemetery in Brooklyn, Ohio.
