CATHERINE "KITTY" ROHR

CATHERINE “KITTY” ROHR (nee Kelly). Age 84. Beloved wife of Jerome “Jerry”. Loving mother of Mary Beth Schram, Deborah Schermaier (Gerhard), Kimberly Gaugler (Chris) and Kenneth Rohr (Darcy). Cherished grandmother of 12. Dear sister of the late William, Betty, John and James Kelly and Martha Gullion.

St. Teresa of Calcutta once said, “Let no one come to you without leaving better and happier.” Catherine Rohr, better known as Kitty, did this without even trying. Sometimes your time with her left you in a better place, sometimes you left happier, and sometimes you left better and happier. Kitty’s greatest joy in life was the time that she spent with her family, most especially her soulmate Jerry. Married for 56 years, they raised Mary Beth, Debbie, Kim, and Ken while Kitty worked as a hairdresser at home and then as a realtor. The family soon grew to include 12 grandchildren ~ Megan, Elena, Zach (Hannah), Mackenzie, Daniel, Alex, Jeremy, Matthew,Caitlyn, Adriana, Collin, and Nicole who quickly became her pride and joy. Kitty never allowed challenges to get her down because she had unshakeable faith. She began every day with Mass and tackled every problem with a prayer first and action second. You could always count on her to give you excellent advice and her promise to keep you in her prayers. Her love of life was evident in her active schedule. Whether she was baking, gardening, sewing, socializing, playing games, or preparing for a party, she was always laughing and having fun. In her presence, you could 0not help but to have fun, too. Kitty lived a full and wonderful life, and she always helped those around her to be happier and better. She was not perfect, but she was always genuine. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will b eheld at St. Francis de Sales Church, Wednesday December 14, 2022 at 10:30 AM. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends received Tuesday 4 – 8  PM at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH (West of I-71).
